Blood Orange Margarita
Makes 1
Kosher salt for rim
Blood orange (or other citrus) wedge for rim and garnish
1 1/2 oz (3 Tbsp) tequila blanco
1 1/2 oz (3 Tbsp) freshly squeezed lime juice
1 1/2 oz (3 Tbsp) freshly squeezed blood orange juice (or navel orange/tangerine/grapefruit are all great substiutes)
1 oz (2 Tbsp) light agave syrup
Place enough kosher salt on a small plate that there is a shallow, even layer. Trace the edge of a rocks glass with an orange wedge and dip into salt, shaking off excess. Fill glass with ice. Fill shaker with ice. Add tequila, lime juice, blood orange juice, and agave. Shake vigorously and strain into prepared glass. Garnish with orange wedge.
