Frozen Watermelon Margarita

Chef Mary Nolan Frozen Watermelon Margarita

Makes 2 (if you decide to share)

  • Kosher salt and 2 lime wedges

  • 2 cups FROZEN cubed watermelon

  • 3 oz tequila blanco

  • 3 oz freshly squeezed lime juice (that's 6 Tbsp)

  • 1 1/2 oz agave syrup

If you like your margs with salt, go around the rim of 2 rocks glasses with a lime wedge and dip into kosher salt (I like to put the salt on a small plate for dipping). Place frozen watermelon (yes, it needs to be totally frozen because that's what makes it a frozen drink :), tequila, lime juice and agave in a blender and blend until smooth. Important: Don't over blend or it will start to melt your drink.

Divide mixture between prepared glasses and garnish with lime wedges. Try not to consume in one gulp.
